In the summer, Happy Llama’s main focus is on events, such as Cherry Creek Arts Festival, Ride the Rockies, and Ragbrai, but in the winter our focus turns to the other side of our niche markets. Right now, we’re on the heels of one of our favorite times of the year…ski season!
As the Aspens hit their golden peak, Colorado Ski Resorts are busy getting ready for another amazing ski season. They’re making snow, hiring staff, and our favorite part…ordering merchandise, signage, promo items, and apparel.
Events in the Summer, Ski Industry in the Winter
Alongside a sturdy foundation of year-round corporate clients, Happy Llama focuses on two special niche markets. We follow a seasonal calendar of events in the summer, and the ski industry in the winter. Ira Johnson, Owner of Happy Llama, says, “I chose to focus my business on two of my favorite things: fun events and skiing.”
Fortunately, the timing works great for Happy Llama! When one season is ending, the other is prepping for a better-than-last-year season.
Ski Resorts Are One of Happy Llama’s Favorite Niche Markets
Have you ever stopped to think about everything it takes to make a ski resort not only safe and skiable, but also exciting and interesting? From our point of view, it takes several different departments who all have diverse printing needs.
Happy Llama plays an integral project management role in the print project demands of our favorite niche market: the ski industry. We work closely with our ski resort contacts to provide a variety of print services and projects, including but not limited to:
- Staff apparel
- Restaurant glassware
- Retail merchandise, including stickers, t-shirts, shot glasses, etc.
- On-mountain signage
- Trail maps
- Promotional items, such as lanyards, lighters, sunglasses, etc.
There are several moving parts within the ski industry. Happy Llama supports the different departments their printing needs through creating a printing partnership. Since 2009, we have printed for and continue to grow our portfolio with Copper Mountain, Loveland Ski Area, and Echo Mountain.
This year we’re excited to continue to build our connections with additional ski resorts around the country.
